Kona Platform works to rehabilitate homeless, abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs. We place rescued animals in temporary foster homes where they receive medical care, proper nutrition, and basic training.
During foster placement, our team evaluates each dog's temperament and behavior to enable proper matching with carefully vetted permanent families. Beyond rescue operations, we educate the public about pet overpopulation, irresponsible breeding practices, and animal abandonment issues.
We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization comprised solely of unpaid volunteers who are passionate about giving dogs a second chance at life.
We do the right thing, on time, all the time. Transparency guides every decision we make.
The welfare of the animals is our top priority. Every policy and decision is made with their best interests in mind.
We treat all volunteers, rescue partners, and community members with respect and dignity.
We operate with full transparency in our interactions with dogs, volunteers, and the community.
We prioritize animal-centered decision-making rather than convenience or profit. This approach shapes all of our operational policies and practices, from intake to adoption. Every dog in our care receives individualized attention, medical treatment, and behavioral assessment to ensure the best possible outcome.
